What's in a name?

I was at Crate and Barrel yesterday and came across Audrey dinnerware. "Oh!" I thought, "Look at this!" Then I looked closer. "Crate and Barrel will no longer be carrying Audrey dinnerware as of such-and-such-date. We strongly suggest you make your Audrey purchases in the near future." Hm. I'm being discontinued. How sobering.

It's actually kind of odd how many styles are named "Audrey." I have Audrey suit pants from Ann Taylor. My friend has Audrey pants from The Limited. It's particularly weird considering I never found my name on keychains or those license plates for your bikes. The world is replete with Jennifers, Amys, and Jessicas, all who have their names on their pencils. Hmph.

Though now that I don't care about having my name on everything I own, it's nice to be somewhat unique! I can now fill my home and my closet with Audrey styles instead.

So I called Crate and Barrel and asked what style is replacing their "Audrey" dinnerware. Looks like you'll be seeing "Ernie" at a store near you.
