All Summer in a Day

There's this short story by Ray Bradbury called All Summer in a Day about children who live on Venus, where it's been raining for 7 years. One day the sun comes out for an hour and the children rejoice. Read it here - it's a good (and sad) story.
Anyways. I feel like we're living that story. It's been raining this entire month. And from the looks of it, well into next month. I thought March left like a lamb? I just looked at the 10 day forecast and it's raining every single day. Okay, not EVERY day. ONE day we get a partly cloudy day. Gee, thanks. How do people in Seattle not kill themselves?
I keep wanting to do outdoor things, but it's too wet. We cannot let the rain control our lives, people! If we let it drive us indoors, then the terrorists (excuse me, rain) have won! Let us play soggy tennis! Let us hike in the mud!
Let us ... um ... study inside where it's warm and dry.

My apartment makes me feel like I'm the kid trapped in the closet who doesn't get to see the sun come out for an hour. Fortunately, I don't think the sun has been out that long here in 'The Bay'. So whew...haven't missed much being teased by my peers.
I KNOW! Oh sweet, sweet, sunshine today. How I have missed thee. Alas, so fleeting, gone too quickly.
Time to let Bryan out of the closet.
Oh closet 'round mine heart
How your musty darkness surrounds me
Scents of Tide and Snuggle abounds
But I cannot see you, no
Searching for a flashlight
To open this hidden world
Hanger hanging from my ear
Or is it a giant spider?
Let me out of the closet
Because just like N-dawg
I don't like no spiders
