Teaching me new tricks
I have to give my dog some pills and I've been trying to figure out how to do it. He's not exactly a picky eater, but unlike my other dog, he's also not one to wolf down everything without tasting it.
So first I tried just throwing the pill to the back of his mouth and following it up with a grape. I figured, if he wants to eat the grape, he'll HAVE to eat the pill, right? No. He ate around it and then spit it out unceremoniously. "Ptooey!", you could almost hear him say. So then I went to the old standby, unscrew the capsule and mix the contents in something sweet - I used honey. Totally worked, but it kind of took longer for me to prepare and for him to eat.
So TODAY, I figured, smear the pill in honey and put it on a small piece of bread. See, then he can eat something, which is fast and he'll think it's yummy because of the honey. Jackpot! My new solution! He gobbled it up happily and left me feeling smug.
HA! I tricked you! Human intellect will win every time! But hold on. Am *I* the victorious one? I'M the one making tiny pill sandwiches ... Curses! Foiled again!

Haha... you're also the one who brushes their teeth and picks up their poos.
