Nightmare

Lately, I've had an irrational fear (maybe not entirely irrational given my lackadaisical attitude toward school these days - witness: I'm blogging, not studying) that I might have gotten my finals dates wrong and then I'd have to do that thing where one bursts in crying to Law Records begging for a chance to take a make-up final. Or that I've miscounted my units and there's a missing credit somewhere.

But my subconscious can do so much better. Last night I dreamed that there was a course on my schedule that I forgot I was taking. A course that I went to at the beginning of the year and then it just fell out of my memory. Seriously? Unfortunately, yes. Apparently, I am THAT stupid. So then, in this dream, I go to the last day of this class and it's 18th century literature and the people in there are weirdly Elizabethan. Which, I think, is probably the wrong time period. See, I wouldn't know because I obviously wasn't attending. And now I have to learn 18th century literature to take the final. (I guess this is sort of how I feel about my aimless studying right now. I might as well be learning 18th century literature.)

I actually checked my schedule this morning just in case. What? I'm taking "A Study of Contemporary Society Based on Thursday Night Television, Past and Present"? YES! I would so ROCK that final!

So the Elizabethan era was the later half of the 16th century. Your dreams need some schoolin'.

Whew! Good thing the world is not as crazy as we subconsciously wish it to be!
