alo514:
1 box cornbread mix

SuperHILAC: ok
alo514: ok?
alo514: not weird?
SuperHILAC: how else do you make it?
alo514: are you serious?
alo514: from cornmeal, flour, baking soda, etc.
SuperHILAC: but someone had to make the cornmeal too
alo514: what?
SuperHILAC: well...everything is modified at different levels
SuperHILAC: well...everything is modified at different levels
SuperHILAC: i mean i could mix the ingredients at several levels
alo514: are you kidding me??
SuperHILAC: i mean at what level do you make that choice?
alo514: are you suggesting that cooking from a mix is like not grinding your own flour?
SuperHILAC: sure
alo514: ok. then this conversation is over.
SuperHILAC: from scratch actually involves growing some corn
SuperHILAC: and some wheat i suppose
SuperHILAC: everything else is a mix
alo514: i will not justify this w/ a response.

I looked up cornbread recipe's too and, oddly, I found this:
- 1 bag of corn seed
- 1 bag of wheat
- sodium chloride, ammonia, carbon dioxide, and water
Step 1: Plant corn.
Step 2: Plant wheat.
Step 3: Grow corn and wheat. Wait until time to harvest.
Step 4: Meanwhile mix sodium chloride, ammonia, and carbon dioxide in water using the Solvay process to create sodium bicarbonate, or baking soda.

You shouldn't take opinions about recipes from someone who confuses vegetable oil with engine oil.
Hey! You LIKED the engine oil - being the only one to eat a piece of brownie without spitting it out. Lesson learned. Now I check the date on things like vegetable oil, eggs, and milk.
