Spinning

I recently bought a road bike. Then I read an interview with Patrick Dempsey in Bicycling.

An excerpt:

"Do you get recognized out riding?
The paparazzi notice, but most of the other riders don't. There are two types of riders: There are the ones who are very friendly, but then there are the ones who take themselves way too seriously and ignore you. I don't know where the attitude comes from. It's like we're all out there having a good time, but they're too cool for school.

"Maybe they're just so focused on the road.
What if you're at a stoplight? You can't say hi? The other day I was out, it was the first part of the week so I had good legs. And I ended up riding next to these two guys who were so friendly. We all started talking and ended up riding together. There was a camaraderie about it, and I thought: You know, this is how it should be."

You know, this IS how it should be! I should go for a ride, stop at a stoplight, smile at the guy next to me, and that guy should end up being this guy:

Anyone up for a ride, HMMM?
