Commercial break

I was filling up at my local Shell station and as soon as I lifted the pump thing, a loud voice announced "THANK YOU." Gah! Oh, there's a tv screen. That's nice. Something to keep me entertained while waiting for my tank to fill. I like to be entertained. But then I noticed that they're NOT showing me tv, they're showing me commercials! Ech. NBC at the Pump, they call it.

What's more, they're even showing me Shell commercials! People, I'm standing here in front of a Shell pump, filling up an SUV with premium gas. There's really no need to sell me further.

Further, I am apparently fond of not only topping off my tank, but washing the side of my car with an extra 4 gallons. So. Preaching to the choir here.
