A Saturday, as told by my first grade self

One day, I went to a Cal game.

We ate hoagies at IB's.

We watched the game.

We saw Adam Durtiz of the Counting Crows. He looked like Sideshow Bob.

I pretended to like the game. (This is my fake "I'm having a good time" face. Inside, I'm actually dying of dehydration and heat. The best part of the game was the giant cup of lemonade I bought for $5.)

We walked around campus and then we went home.

The End.

Teen Beat

I had a roundabout conversation today with Tram that went like this:

kid's cereals --> kid's tv shows --> Full House --> Uncle Jesse was hot (and he totally still is) --> Aunt Becky was hot too (and also still is) --> Summerland ("Becky's" new show)

Which THEN led to ...
Me: And there's that guy on that show. What's his name?
Tram: Which guy?
Me: That blonde kid who's a singer now.
Tram: Aaron Carter?
Me: Yeah! Wait, no?
*lots of debating, finally come up with Jesse McCartney*
Tram: They're not the same person?
Me: Are they?

So here's the ultimate question. Jesse McCartney and Aaron Carter, same person? Certainly you can understand the confusion given they look like this:

Aaron Carter, separate and distinct from

Jesse McCartney

Yet, NOT the same. Also, I've just spent the last 5 min Googling "Aaron Carter" and "Jesse McCartney." Hi, I'm in seventh grade.

P.S. Here's a picture of John Stamos, still looking good.

Too cool for school

3L lazies illustrated by a conversation with Lam and Genelle about 2 weeks ago. Bear in mind that my group of friends basically made up the entire board of APALSA (Asian Pacific American Law Students Association) last year and were really active. Lam is a 2L and is something on the board this year. I don't know what.

Genelle: Was there an APALSA meeting today?
Lam: It was supposed to be today, it got changed to next week.
Genelle: Are there a lot of people signed up?
Lam: We got a lot of 1Ls in.
Me: Am *I* in APALSA?
Genelle: Am I? (said the former vice president)

We DID go to the meeting, but we neither wore their name tags nor played their silly games.

Mine! Mine!

There's a weird guy in my copyrights class. Everytime I go, it's like a competition to get this seat. If I get there first, I sit in it. If he's there first, he's inevitably sitting there. It's not even a great seat. It's way on the end where you can't really see the board. The only reason I sit there is because it's my name on the seating chart there and it's next to my friend.

But I have a feeling it's not as important to me as it is to him. Because here's the real puzzler. If I'm sitting in THAT seat, he doesn't sit in ANY seat! Even though there's plenty of room elsewhere! He just sits in the aisle, typing into his lap.

I wonder what that's about ...
